The NYC Department of Buildings has failed to withdraw it Code Notes for Cabarets despite the repeal of the Cabaret Law, thereby confusing and misleading the public.
The New York City Department of Building issued in March 2017 a document entitled Code Notes Cabarets, prior to repeal of the Cabaret Law. The DOB has not revised the Code Notes, and the Office of Nightlife apparently has not been successful in persuading DOB to modify the document.
