Newsletter Number 1 – Case Study New Jazz Club

Our first newsletter is a case study in starting a new jazz club in NY City Newsletter and included the forced  stipulation document from the local community board.

The Newsletter points out the small print in the so-called application and how the community board refuses to recommend the license unless the applicant sign a  contract with the comunity board, which does not have the power to enter into contracts, but only to act as an advisor. Also covered is the fact that temporary licenses may not offer live music, and the the license process is cumbersome because of the  500-foot law.
